Browser

Essential cookies keep the web app stable

Roomfit uses cookies and similar browser technologies to keep you signed in, remember guest browsing, and keep the browser experience reliable. This page explains what we use and how you can manage it.

Essential

Sign-in and session cookies

These cookies help the browser and backend recognize your session securely.

Preferences

Guest mode and UI state

We store a small amount of browser state so the app knows how to route you.

Control

You can clear them anytime

Clearing cookies may sign you out or reset guest browsing behavior.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small pieces of text stored by your browser. They help websites remember a session, a preference, or a small state change between requests.

Roomfit also uses related browser storage techniques for temporary app state when needed, such as sign-in challenges or verification steps.

2. Cookies Roomfit uses

Roomfit web uses essential cookies that support authentication and guest browsing. These cookies are needed for the app to function correctly and cannot be fully disabled without affecting the service.

  • roomfit_access_token
  • roomfit_refresh_token
  • roomfit_guest_mode
  • Temporary browser state for auth challenges and flow continuity
We do not currently use the cookies above for advertising. They exist to keep sign-in, session refresh, and guest browsing working.

3. Why we use them

Cookies and similar tools help Roomfit keep you signed in, maintain a secure browser session, protect the app from repeated sign-in prompts, and keep guest browsing separate from authenticated browsing.

They also help us remember whether you are using the web app as a guest, which screens you were trying to reach, and whether the browser should continue a pending auth flow.

  • Maintain a secure authenticated session
  • Allow refresh tokens to work in the browser
  • Keep guest mode and public browsing stable
  • Reduce repeated prompts during auth and onboarding

4. Managing cookies

You can clear cookies from your browser settings at any time. If you do, you may be signed out, guest mode may reset, and some flows may ask you to verify again.

If you block all cookies, some Roomfit features may not work as intended in the web app.

5. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when our browser behavior changes or when we add new cookie-based features. If that happens, we will update this page and the date above.

If you have questions about cookies or browser session handling, use the Roomfit Help Center.
